30' from the village by car we arrive at the car park of La Farga, from where we can drive to the famous National Park of Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici. Created on 21 October 1955, it is one of the natural spaces included in the Network of Spanish National Parks and the only one of this category in Catalonia. Within its surface area of almost 40,000 hectares, all the characteristic elements of the high mountain are well represented. Of this area, 14,119 hectares correspond strictly to the National Park, which is divided into two distinct sectors: Aigüestortes in Alta Ribagorça, accessible from the Vall de Boí and Sant Maurici, and Pallars Sobirà, which has an entrance through the valley of Espot.
