Falles
Nevertheless, Alta Ribagorça is the region with the most Falles villages in Catalonia. The "baixada de Falles" has been a deeply rooted tradition in the villages of Alta Ribagorça since ancient times. The falles are resinous trunks about two metres long, which are prepared a few days beforehand so that they are ready on the day of the baixada. The falles descent starts from a high place on the mountain, visible from the village, where a pine tree called "far" has been planted, which is where the falles are lit before starting the descent. The descent from the mountain is carried out with a line of fire led by a "solter major" or person in charge who guides the fallaires to the town square where they are greeted with music and the sound of bells. When the falles are half consumed, a large bonfire is lit and the festival begins. The Camins de Foc, typical of each Fallas village, can be held all year round and their low difficulty makes them suitable for any kind of public. They start in the village itself and go up to a high point in the mountain from where you can enjoy magnificent views.
Barruera's Fira Ramadera de Barruera
Craft and food fair in which there is also the exhibition and sale of livestock.

Girella Fair
Exhibition of crafts and ancestral traditions of the region. A girella is also made and tasted in the Plaça del Mercadal.

Fira de Tots Sants
Old traditional livestock fair where animals are exhibited and the Bruna del Pirineu cow contest is held. Location: Vilaller, Firal de Massaneres and surroundings Data: 2 November
Pla Ball, Sant Isidre and La Pila Ball
Taüll celebrates the festival in honour of Sant Isidre, its patron saint, on the third Sunday in July. The Ball Pla is held together with the Ball de Sant Isidre. Afterwards, the "pila" is made, in which only men take part and which is characterised by making a sort of human tower, with the particularity that whoever crowns the tower does so at the bottom....

Ball Tatero
Every year, on 15 August, the Festa Major of Vilaller, the "Tatero", a dance made up of four pairs of married couples and singles in typical local costumes, is performed.
